Flatlock for Fashion: Serger Club with Pamela Leggett - September 28, 7-9pm ET via Zoom
Flatlock serging might well be the most underrated stitch on the serger. It looks difficult, but is easy to learn and provides worlds of decorative possibilities. This versatile stitch is two stitches in one and looks completely different on the “loop” side and the “ladder” side. Add some different threads to the mix and you get even more variations. You don’t have to have a state-of-the-art machine, almost any serger can create this stitch.
For this Serger Club project, Pamela will show you how to set up the serger and test out threads and stitches to get the flatlock just right. Then she will show you how to construct a t-shirt using the flatlock – yes, it is strong enough for seams!
Pamela will finish up by sharing some of her favorite flatlock fashion pieces. Hope you can join in!
**This is a demo class. You will not be sewing along. We will be recording the session so you can watch on your own time. Recordings will be available for one month.
