Calling all fabric enthusiasts! Join Julie, our Fabric Buyer, in a year-long fabric buying journey!
Julie's Picks is a membership-only fabric swatch club. Every month you will receive 30 different fabric swatches to guide you in creating fashion forward, handmade garments. Touching and feeling fabric before you buy it is the ultimate shopping experience and online shopping doesn’t really allow for that. That’s why we created Julie’s Picks Swatch Club, so you have the best of both worlds!
Each mailer contains a wide range of garment fabric: from everyday fabric like jersey knit and linen shirting, to seasonal weights like wool coating and cotton voile. Whether you sew for the current season or like to work ahead, there are plenty of fabrics to choose from.
In addition to monthly fabric swatches, you’ll receive a ton of sewing inspiration to get your creative juices flowing. You’ll also receive a monthly email with a copy of the digital mailer and a video recording of Julie talking about the fabrics in the month’s mailer. You’ll get to see the fabric move almost as if you were feeling the drape and weight in person!
We only take 500 members per membership year, making this club even more exclusive!

We accept new memberships in the fall for a limited time. It is open to the 500 members each year and is opened up to current members first. A membership costs $70 for a full year.
Be sure you are logged into your account first. Go to the Julie's Picks header on our main page, then select the specific month's collection. There you should see all the fabrics listed. Fabrics are listed with a generic photo since you receive swatches to look at.
The new fabrics are made live at 10am ET on the 1st Tuesday of every month.
It is most likely sold out. All fabrics have limited quantities, so it’s best to get your order in early.
Fabrics are only available for a one-month period. They are removed from the website before 10am ET on the 1st Tuesday of the following month.
All Julie’s Picks fabrics are listed without a picture of the fabric. You will have to look at your physical swatch sent in your mailer.
We do, however, include images of the larger prints in the digital mailer. The digital mailer is sent out by email a week before the new month will go live. It's also included in the email newsletter that is sent out at 10am ET on the 1st Tuesday of the month.
All mailers leave our building in Pennsylvania, on the same day. US & Canada customer's mailers will leave our facility no later than the 6th of the month. Please allow at least one week for swatches to arrive, especially if you are on the west coast. Customer in Canada could expect a longer wait.
Occasionally the post office loses mail or there was an error on our end. Email customerservice@fabricmartfabrics.com or call 1(610)678-1330 to resolve the issue.
If you are not receiving the emails, check your spam folder. If it’s not there, email Julie@fabricmartfabrics.com so she can check the status of your emails. Sometimes the emails get “bounced” for one reason or another and we have to fix that. And sometimes we mess up! So let us know if you’re not getting them and we can see if we missed you.
You will receive at least three different emails, specific to the club, in any one month.
Email newsletters are sent out on the 1st Tuesday of the month. 5-yard limit lift email sent on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. A last chance reminder and prep for the next month email are sent out the week before the new mailer goes live.
All of the fabric we carry, both online and in Julie's Picks, are deadstock fabric which has limited quantity. To help alleviate having products sell out to quickly we have implemented a 5-yard limit per piece of fabric for the first week. After that week you are able to purchase however many yards you would like.
Each month, Julie creates a video talking about the fabrics in the mailer. She shows the drape, talks about the feel of the fabric and offers suggestions on what to make with it. Customers love this added feature! It really takes the club to the next level and enhances the shopping experience!
