A jersey knit is a single yarn knit made by looping fibers together. They can be made of different contents such as polyester, cotton, rayon, silk, wool and blends. It is easy to tell the difference between the front and back. The front has loops which look like "knit" in knitting and the back as a flat surface and looks like "purl" in knitting. Jersey knits can also curl on the edges and usually curl toward the face. Jersey knits are great for t-shirts, dresses and skirts.
