Fit – Does your garment(s) proportionately fit you? No pulling in common fit-issue areas such as crotch, bust, shoulders, etc?
Craftsmanship - Did you put a lot of care into the construction? Top-stitching straight, seams match, careful overall construction, etc? The hemline is straight? The garments do not look messy or rushed?
Presentation - While we totally understand not everyone has a professional camera and the perfect backdrop for photographing their creations, (Me included!!) you are in front of a world of other sewers. Make yourself look presentable. Submit a photo of the front, back and side view of the garment. Detail photos are also requested so we can be better judges. So if you do some embellishing or a specific technique, zoom in and share with us! Not all the photos may be used in the blog post, but for judges reference.
Judges: This week's judges are Deepika from Pattern Review, Angela Wolf from Angela Wolf Designs and the social media team from Nancy's Notions: Emily Jansson and Lindsay Cavens.
Lindsay and Emily write all about the new product offerings for the Nancy's Notions catalog and website. They share a sweet little corner office that looks out into a larger hallway of their building. "The lack of an actual window may genuinely make us more creative—we put on nature sounds to listen to all day. Sometimes we're in the mood for Rainforest sounds, but when we're feeling uninspired, it's Peruvian flute, all day long—haha!" says Emily.

Week 4: Find Your Inner Designer
(Final Challenge!)
This is the LAST WEEK in the Fabricista Fashion Challenge! The three ladies that are left will all be winners of some prize! Here's what's up for grabs:

The Challenge:
This week's challenge is all about finding your inner designer. Select a designer that you are most inspired by and create a total look that could fit into their Fall/Winter 2016 collection. Think of it like Ralph Lauren just called you and said they need one more look for their runway show and they chose you!

Think outside the box while still creating something that you will wear with you lifestyle. You can make just one garment, but if you feel that creating more than one will help you portray your favorite designer, then do so. (Such as a shirt and skirt combo, etc.)

- How will this garment fit into your lifestyle?
- Submit up to 8 photos. They can be collaged.
We will be judging on a 1-10 scale (10 being the highest) using the following criteria:
Creativity - Did you think of original ideas while still keeping in mind that the look should be inspired by a favorite designer?
Wearability - Did you make something that will fit into your lifestyle? Did you tell us how it will?

Angela Wolf is known for her pattern line, Angela Wolf Designs and online classes on Pattern Review and Craftsy.
Deepika started PatternReview.com in 2001 as a place for sewers to meet and discuss their sewing projects. Over the last 15+ years, the site has evolved into a global community with 350,000+ members in over 20 countries. Deepika taught herself to sew because she wanted to make curtains for her new home. 15 years and almost 300 garments later, she is still buying curtains!

Due Date: You have a few extra days to finish this challenge! All photos, text, etc is due on Thursday, October 6th. The finished projects will be revealed for reader voting October 7-10 and the winner will be announced on Tuesday, October 11th!

I am looking forward to this challenge more then any of the others. We get to see the participants inspirations and interpretations. I tried to pick my own designer of choice, even though I am arm-chairing it through this challenge. Who did you pick?
