Made by a Fabricista: Nova Jumpsuit

Hey there and happy fall! How's everyone's fall going? Mine? Crazy! Our family has had a few changes over the past six months, as I know everyone else has too! One large change for us was a move!!! We had a family friend move in with us in March, and were lacking a bedroom for this friend. She stayed in our dining room, with a curtain for a door and we immediately went on the hunt for a house with another bedroom. Well, apparently everyone else thought it was a great time to move too! Our house hunt took a few months, but we are in our new to us house and we're surrounded with boxes, and chaos, but everyone has a room!

Our new house is a 100 year old spanish bungalow and I am in love with it! It needs renovating and updating, but it is in great condition and is just so cute and full of character!

I pulled out my sewing machine last week and was thrilled that I could find where all of my sewing things were packed. I sewed the Nova Jumpsuit pattern by True Bias and it is the perfect outfit that I know I'll wear a lot as I'm working to make this new house our home!

The Nova Jumpsuit is a knit jumpsuit that has four views. I sewed view D, which is the most relaxed view, and is so incredibly comfortable. I used jersey knit fabric from Fabric Mart. This fabric is no longer in stock, but it is a cotton lycra blend and was exactly what I was looking for. It has enough structure for this jumpsuit, and enough stretch.

I also used fusible knit interfacing (also from Fabric Mart). Have you used this stuff before? It's great...and perfect for so many sewing projects.

Have you done any sewing this fall yet? Any crazy life changes? I hope you are all doing well!

Thank you Fabric Mart for this great fabric!

Quick Recap

Lovely jumpsuit! It's great both with a blouse underneath and with a jacket over – or simply without on a great day! :)
